In-ground and portable goal installation across Lehi, from the established neighborhoods near Main Street out to the newer construction in Traverse Mountain. Footings set below frost depth so the pole doesn't lean on you.
Lehi, in-ground or portable.
Lehi is not one soil type. Down in the older flats near Main Street you're generally digging reasonable ground, and a 4 foot hole goes about how you'd expect. Up on the benches and around Traverse Mountain, it's a different story — rockier, and a post hole that should take an hour can take considerably longer when you hit material at depth.
That's worth knowing before you accept an hourly quote from anyone. A flat price means the rock is the installer's problem, not a surprise line item on your invoice. We quote flat for exactly this reason.
The other Lehi-specific thing is HOA rules in some of the newer developments. A few have opinions about permanent structures and where they sit relative to setbacks. Worth a two minute check with your HOA before anyone pours concrete, since a footing is not something you relocate cheaply.
If there's soil along the edge of your driveway, the pole usually goes there and the backboard overhang reaches out over the concrete. No cutting, lower cost.
Send the model and where you're thinking. Flat quote, no hourly surprises.
